Land Of The Drums is a unique blend of natural animal sounds put to Rhythm and a driving Dance percussive Beat.
Producer Neftali Santiago ( Former Drummer Of Mandrill) was a sample pioneer in 1980.
All animal sounds were placed with a Melotron ( first sampler with analogue tape loops).
The single was only available as a promo and got a lot of attention in Holland, for example as a Radio tune from the legendary radio program Soul Show with Ferry Maat.
The promotional copies are selling for as much as $85 a copy because of DJ’s collecting.
Nowadays there’s still a demand for the record.
